About

Eimear McCarthy is a sport psychology consultant who has worked with clients in the UK, US and Ireland. Currently a member of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) and the British Association of Sport and Exercise Science (BASES), she works with teams and individuals to help them achieve optimal performance.

Having worked with Team Scotland at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, she saw first hand how important mental preparation is in order to perform consistently at the top level. It was after this, she decided to pursue a career in sport psychology and mental performance.

Upon completion of her degree in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Limerick, Eimear went on to study a Masters in Sport Psychology at the University of Stirling in Scotland.

Eimear relocated to San Diego where she worked with an AAU basketball team where she discovered her love for working with youth athletes. She is passionate about helping them realise their true potential as well as equipping them with skills both in sport and life. Eimear’s goal is to instill in athletes a thirst and hunger for development, as well as a strong sense of self-esteem and confidence in their own abilities.
